Swellnet gets a facelift … and an enema!

If your an Australian surfer then you’ve probably gotten a surf forecast from Swellnet, either directly, or indirectly from one of the numerous plagarising bastards that regularily pillage his freely available meteorological predictions. For the last few months BM has been telling me all about the new evolution of Swellnet, as well as giving me a few sneak previews. The new site design was launched yesterday arvo and feedback, both good and bad I’m sure, is already pouring in. I think the last site design was already nice and simple, but this new design is fergin fantastic (once you get past the load of the first page and its all cached). If you’ve got any problems or suggestions I’m sure he’d love to hear them.

Along with the new design comes an updated information architecture to accommodate all of the new bits that will be added over the coming months. Oooh I’d love to tell you all about it but I’m sworn to secrecy! You can always lurk around the RealSurf forums in the hope BM drops a hint… Basically the site has taken on a whole-of-Australia concept that probably gives some clues as to the direction he might be taking. I’m sure there’s still a bunch of stuff he hasn’t told me, but you can rest assured it will be worth waiting for. Good work BM!
