Quick trip

Decided to do the midnight bolt to Yorkes late Saturday (after Bacon boy suggested it), primarily to get some waves, but also to stay out the heat in the cool ocean. Thanks to a tub of 5-year-old sunscreen that didn’t seem to work I’m a little toasty around the edges, but we did score nice clean waves off the end of the swell that was apparently sending 6-8′ howlers through Salmon’s a few days ago (grrr). Yes, I heard a few ‘you shoulda been here yesterday’s! Did a quick check at Ethel Wreck and a few waves were doing their thing, turning inside out, with a shifty peak throwing up very hollow rides. To inconsistent to bother, but makes for a nice photo…
