I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m always losing time from having to retype stuff into “<textarea>’s”:http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/interact/forms.html#edef-TEXTAREA on forms because i accidentally close a browser tab or slip and press the wrong key combination. Enter “Scribe”:http://prismicspiral.com/scribe/index.html, an eminently useful “extension”:https://addons.mozilla.org/?application=firefox for the eminently functional browser “Firefox”:http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/.

* Save form entries with Ctrl+S (overrides normal usage).
* Load form entries from locally stored Scribe XHTML.
* Save on hardware costs by minimising the number of keyboards smashed through your monitor.

This little beauty has already saved me a few times after accidentally losing lengthy comments entered into “JIRA”:http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/
